Gourmet Christmas Hampers – Eat, Drink, Smile!

If you’re a regular in these parts you’ll know I haven’t been blogging a lot lately. This is because Team Charming has relocated the HQ and it’s been a huge undertaking! Moving house with 3 kids, a dog and a really, really, ridiculously oversized book collection is fun – said no one ever. So, when I was invited to let someone else feed me with luxury food from gourmet Christmas hampers, I could hardly say no!

In fact, a gourmet food and wine hamper would make an excellent house warming gift. Just saying…

Easy, personal gift giving with festive food hampers

The team at Australian Gourmet Gifts creates food hampers for all occasions – corporate gifts, new baby presents, birthday surprises – you name it. But the treats I was lucky enough to sample come from their range of deluxe Christmas hampers. ‘Tis almost the season, after all.

Got someone in your life who’s tricky to buy for? A secret santa crowd with high expectations? Clients you want to impress to keep them coming back for more next year? A gourmet hamper is your go-to festive gift.

The taste test! Bloggers with benefits

With thanks to Brand Meets Blog, I joined a group of friendly folk last week to learn more about Australian Gourmet Gifts. Our hamper goodies arrived in a stylish black esky that could easily be redeployed for a summer barbie – tacky wicker baskets be gone!

Jams, chutneys, crackers and cookies appeared like something out of the Hogwarts dining hall. I could have eaten most of it straight from the jar with a spoon, to be honest, but I sat wide-eyed as our food was styled to perfection, making it all the more enticing.

Australian Gourmet Gifts is proud to support Australian food and wine producers, so you’ll recognize brands like Maggie Beer and Ogilvie amongst the foods on offer; whilst Angove and Penfolds provide the grapes. Got friends overseas this Christmas? Send them a taste of home!

For a touch of the exotic, you’ll also find some European brands supplying festive favourites like panforte and proper French bubbles (sweetie!).

It all comes beautifully packaged with nonstop quality inclusions – no cheap fillers. Whether you’re a chocoholic or a savoury person (sweet enough!) there’s a hamper to suit.

Best of the best

I was pretty much asleep on my feet after lugging boxes out of moving vans. I’d also been eating toast for 3 meals a day in the lead up to my gourmet adventure. It’s safe to assume that any hamper item would have been a good hamper item under these conditions! It was all delicious, but here’s my ‘best of the best’ short list of reasons to love Australian Gourmet Gifts hampers!

  1. These hampers give good savoury. Too many Christmas hampers focus exclusively on shortbreads and puddings. Here, you’ll get a mix of different flavours. I loved the Oglivie’s Beetroot and Balsamic Relish!
  2. Non-alcoholic wine can taste good. Although I love a good wine, I was tired, driving and on school pick up duty after this tasting, so alas – no booze for me. Maggie Beer came to the rescue with a non-alcoholic Sparkling Ruby Cabernet! What can’t she do?
  3. Your gift lives on beyond the yum factor. Depending which beautiful hamper you choose, you’ll also received some stylish serving tools. The aforementioned (addictive) relish comes with a pretty white dish, for example. Some packs include a wooden serving platter or a funky cooler box that you can take to the beach all summer long. Winning!

Order today on their website for free delivery Australia-wide. Get organised early for Christmas with gourmet food hampers! Or perhaps send a little something to that friend of yours who’s moving house…just saying.

This is totally, obviously, a sponsored post and I was given some delicious goodies to try before writing, but all opinions are my own.

I’m a total sweet tooth but I do like to have savoury options when I’m snacking 😉
